Israeli settler militants attacked European diplomats, a French mayor, and the archbishop of Cambrai in Taybeh in the occupied West Bank, The Guardian reported. The assault occurred as Palestinians attempted to harvest olives, with the settlers using violence in an attempt to halt the agricultural work.
The incident left multiple members of the European delegation injured. Such attacks by settler groups against Palestinians and international observers occur regularly in the West Bank.
