Yisrael Beiteinu leader Avigdor Lieberman called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to step down and pressed members of Netanyahu's Likud party to remove him from office, according to Israel's Channel 12, as reported by Middle East Eye.
Lieberman's comments represent an open split with Netanyahu from a fellow coalition member. The Yisrael Beiteinu leader has previously clashed with the prime minister over policy decisions.
