The Gaza government media office accused Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday of practicing "silent starvation" against civilians through engineered food deprivation and severe restrictions on humanitarian aid. Officials said the occupation allows only minimal quantities of assistance into the territory, far below what is needed to meet basic survival requirements.
The blockade has rendered 90% of Gaza's population unable to afford food purchases, according to the government media office. Shehab Wire reported that officials characterized the policy as a systematic starvation campaign targeting the civilian population, with occupation forces blocking roughly two-thirds of food supplies from entering the territory.
