Samid Muhammad Khudir set out from Yitma south of Nablus to offer condolences to residents of al-Mughayir, northeast of Ramallah, when settlers blocked his vehicle on the road, Shehab Wire reported. The encounter turned into moments of terror during which he nearly lost his life.
Khudir had been traveling to al-Mughayir to pay respects to the dead in the town when the obstruction occurred. Settlers have repeatedly confronted Palestinian travelers in the West Bank, particularly along routes connecting towns near settlement outposts. The incident marks another case of Palestinian movement being impeded by settler action in areas under varying degrees of Israeli control.
