The Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced the death of Farah Ahmed Abdel-Majid Hamed, a member of its military council in the West Bank, Shehab Wire reported. Hamed was killed Wednesday in an assassination operation west of Gaza City.
The brigades said Hamed held the rank of commander and played a senior role in their organizational structure on the occupied territory. His death marked a targeted killing during a period of heightened Israeli military operations across Palestinian areas.
In a statement, the Qassam Brigades vowed to continue armed resistance in response to the operation, reaffirming their commitment to the militant campaign against Israeli forces and occupation authorities.
