Mansour Abbas, leader of the Arab-Israeli political party Ra'am, called for sustained voting efforts to "bring down" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to Middle East Eye. Abbas accused Netanyahu of wielding Ra'am as a "scarecrow" to mobilize right-wing voters ahead of elections.
The comments reflect tensions between Netanyahu and the Arab-Israeli party, which has participated in Israeli coalition governments. Abbas's call signals Ra'am's positioning against the prime minister in the electoral arena.
