Scabies has proliferated among Palestinian detainees held in Israel's Negev desert prison, the Prisoner Media Office warned, as authorities withhold necessary medication and treatment. The skin condition has caused painful lesions and triggered psychological and physical complications among inmates, the rights group said.
Prison administration has refused to provide medical care despite the outbreak, according to the office. Detainees lack access to required drugs and therapeutic intervention, Shehab Wire reported.
