Most parliamentary parties in Sweden support significantly stronger measures to curb Israeli government abuses in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, according to a survey released by six civil society organizations ahead of the September 13, 2026 general election. Seven of the eight parties in the Riksdag responded to the joint initiative, Human Rights Watch reported.
The survey results suggest a gap between current Swedish policy and the positions held by a majority of lawmakers on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The organizations released their findings to inform public debate during the election campaign.
