Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, broadcast footage showing the Syrian revolution flag displayed inside a military tunnel in Rafah, southern Gaza, according to Shehab Wire. The video was presented as part of a will or testament attributed to a martyr named Mahmoud Shabana, and sparked widespread reaction and celebration across social media platforms.
The footage showed the Syrian flag alongside Hamas military operations in Gaza, reflecting the presence of symbols associated with causes beyond the immediate Israeli-Palestinian conflict in militant communications.
