The UN Food and Agriculture Organization reported Tuesday that 97 percent of agricultural land in Gaza is either damaged or unreachable, Shehab Wire reported. The assessment covers the entire scope of cultivable territory across the coastal enclave, where farming operations have faced severe disruption.

The FAO's finding reflects the extent of destruction and access restrictions affecting Gaza's agricultural sector. With the vast majority of farmland either destroyed or beyond farmers' reach, the territory's capacity to sustain local food production has been severely compromised. The damage and access barriers threaten food security across the population dependent on local agricultural output.
