One hundred nine Israeli settlers entered the Al-Aqsa mosque compound Wednesday morning under protection of Israeli occupation forces, Shehab Wire reported. The settlers performed public Talmudic prayers and rituals accompanied by group dancing and singing in the courtyards.
The incursion marks a continued pattern of settler access to the Islamic holy site in occupied East Jerusalem, which has been a persistent flashpoint of tension between Palestinians and Israeli authorities.
