Pro-Palestine activists and supporters demonstrated outside Croke Park in Dublin, calling on the Irish Gaelic Athletic Association to terminate its partnership with insurance company Allianz, Shehab Wire reported. The protesters cited allegations linking the company to Israel's weapons industry.
The demonstration targeted what activists described as problematic financial ties between the GAA and Allianz. Demonstrators gathered at the stadium to pressure the sporting body into severing its sponsorship agreement with the insurer, arguing that the company's alleged connections to Israeli arms manufacturing make it an unsuitable partner for the national athletic organization.
