Sami Abu Shehadeh, leader of the Arab Democratic Party, withdrew his faction from upcoming Knesset elections, Al Jazeera English reported. The withdrawal further reduces Palestinian participation in the vote. Details surrounding the circumstances that forced his withdrawal were not specified in the report.
The Arab Democratic Party's exit marks another step in the declining engagement of Arab representatives in Israeli electoral politics ahead of the forthcoming Knesset vote.
