Democracy for the Arab World Now called on all members of Congress to introduce and pass joint resolutions of disapproval to block a Trump administration proposal to transfer 40,000 2,000-pound bombs to Israel worth $2.8 billion, the advocacy group said in a letter released Wednesday.
The organization invoked the Arms Export Control Act, which allows Congress to block military transfers through disapproval resolutions. The proposed shipment would deliver the munitions under existing law that grants the administration authority to proceed unless Congress acts to stop it.
