Gadi Eisenkot, leader of Israel's opposition Yisrael Beiteinu party, accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government Sunday of "fleeing responsibility" and failing to learn lessons from the October 7 events, Shehab Wire reported. Eisenkot said those who evade accountability cannot prevent impending catastrophe.
The statement came as Israel continues to grapple with security failures exposed by the 2023 attack that killed hundreds and triggered the war in Gaza.
