Two girls died in a fire that erupted inside a tent in Mawasi, Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, Ma'an news agency reported. The blaze broke out in the residential encampment where displaced Palestinians are sheltering.
The incident adds to the humanitarian toll in the densely populated southern Gaza strip, where thousands of displaced families live in makeshift tent settlements vulnerable to such disasters.
