Dr. Mohammad Ibrahim Abu Nada, director of Gaza Cancer Center, told Shehab Wire that the enclave faces severe health and environmental deterioration driven by acute shortages of medications, medical supplies, and kidney dialysis solutions. The shortages coincide with depleted medical equipment and a diminished workforce of healthcare professionals across the territory's facilities.
Abu Nada warned that the compounding medical crisis demands urgent action. He called for the immediate evacuation of thousands of cancer patients from Gaza to enable them to receive necessary treatment outside the enclave, citing the inability of local health infrastructure to sustain current patient loads amid the widening supply deficits.
