More than 130 civil society organizations from 56 countries are calling for urgent international action to defend the International Criminal Court, Dawn reported. The effort comes as Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, Venezuela and Chad have formally notified the United Nations of their withdrawal from the Rome Statute, while the United States has escalated its campaign against the Court.
