Hamas warned of the danger posed by an Israeli experiment conducted recently at Al-Aqsa Mosque to test Jewish prayer there, according to Shehab Wire. Haron Nasser al-Din, a member of Hamas's political bureau and head of its Jerusalem affairs office, said the trial represented part of efforts to Judaize the mosque.
The group called for international intervention to rescue Al-Aqsa from what it described as Judaization plans. Hamas has long opposed any Jewish prayer or presence in the compound, which is sacred to both Muslims and Jews.
