Hamas official Abdul Rahman Shaddad said escalating settler violence and attacks in the occupied West Bank, including the burning of parts of a mosque in Bazariya village northwest of Nablus early Tuesday, demonstrate a pattern of aggression, Shehab Wire reported. Shaddad warned that crimes against mosques and religious sites by settlers would "rebound as anger against the occupation and its criminal gangs."
The mosque fire was the latest in a series of incidents involving settlers in the territory. Hamas has repeatedly condemned such attacks as part of what it characterizes as systematic aggression targeting Palestinian civilians and holy sites.
