Israeli occupation bulldozers have continued leveling Palestinian-owned land in the town of Sinjil, north of Ramallah in the central West Bank, over several consecutive days to expand a recently established illegal settlement, IMEMC News reported. The machinery has demolished additional dunams of farmland as part of the ongoing expansion effort.
The outpost sits on territory that Israel's government classifies as occupied. Palestinian residents of Sinjil have faced repeated encroachments on their agricultural holdings as Israeli colonies expand across the West Bank. The expansion follows a pattern of settlement growth on land claimed by Palestinian farmers, many of whom have lost access to fields worked by their families for generations.
