The Palestinian Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs documented 26 Israeli raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque during August, according to Shehab Wire. The ministry's monthly report also recorded 155 instances in which the Islamic call to prayer was prevented from being issued at the Ibrahimi Mosque during the same period.
The report attributed these actions to Israeli occupation authorities and settlers. It said the incidents represent a pattern of interference with Muslim worship at sacred sites in the occupied territories. Palestinian officials have repeatedly cited such disruptions as violations of religious freedom and access to holy places.
