Israeli authorities demolished a residential building in the At Tur area of East Jerusalem on Tuesday, displacing 69 Palestinians, more than half of them children, the UN aid coordination office reported. The structure was destroyed after Israeli authorities approved the demolition.
The displacement adds to a pattern of building demolitions in occupied East Jerusalem, where Palestinian residents face restrictions on construction that Israeli settlers do not.
