Israeli occupation forces and the municipal authority have demolished more than 430 homes and structures in occupied Jerusalem since the start of 2024, according to Shehab Wire. The demolitions are part of policies aimed at displacing Palestinian residents from the city, a Jerusalem-based body warned.
The reported destruction represents a significant acceleration in home demolitions across occupied East Jerusalem, where Palestinian construction requires permits that are rarely granted by Israeli authorities.
