Israeli bulldozers have uprooted centuries-old olive trees across South Lebanon, destroying agricultural land that sustains local farmers, Mondoweiss reported. The destruction includes the application of glyphosate herbicide and use of white phosphorus, rendering entire groves unusable and villages uninhabitable.
The demolition campaign has stripped Lebanese farmers of their primary livelihood as Israeli military operations continue to level towns and villages throughout the region. Olive cultivation, a cornerstone of South Lebanon's economy for generations, faces systematic erasure.
