A man in his fifties was killed Thursday evening in a shooting in Taybeh, a city in the southern Triangle region of Palestinian territories inside Israel's borders, Shehab Wire reported. The killing marks the latest in a series of fatal crimes sweeping Palestinian communities in the occupied interior since the start of 2024.
The incident brings the year's total homicides to 159, according to the wire agency's count. Palestinian officials and community leaders have repeatedly raised alarm over the spike in gun violence across towns and villages in the region.
