Former Israeli military chief Gadi Eisenkot continues to gain ground on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the latest opinion polls, with Netanyahu's coalition shedding an additional seat, Shehab Wire reported. The survey, published by Israeli public broadcaster Kan, showed Eisenkot's Yesh Atid party maintaining its advantage over Netanyahu's camp in voter preference.
The polling shift reflects mounting pressure on Netanyahu's political standing as his governing coalition faces further erosion in public support. Eisenkot, who heads the centrist Yesh Atid faction, has consistently polled ahead of Netanyahu in recent surveys measuring voter intentions. The loss of another parliamentary seat for Netanyahu's bloc narrows his margins at a time when political uncertainty persists in Israel over the government's direction and policy priorities.
