The Prisoner's Club said 16-year-old Muhammad Hamid from Tuqu'a in Bethlehem remains in critical condition at Israel's Shaare Zedek Hospital, where he underwent a new cardiac surgery Friday, Shehab Wire (EN) reported. The procedure marked his second operation in as many days, following an initial cardiac intervention Thursday.
Hamid's deteriorating health required emergency surgical intervention at the Israeli medical facility. The Palestinian advocacy organization, which monitors cases of detained and hospitalized Palestinians, did not disclose the specific cardiac condition prompting the consecutive operations or provide further details on his prognosis following Friday's procedure.
