The Palestine Center for Prisoner Studies reported that Israeli occupation authorities have arrested 130 Palestinian women and girls from the West Bank and occupied East Jerusalem since the beginning of this year, according to Shehab Wire. The center said the detentions are part of a systematic policy targeting Palestinian women through arrest, abuse, and field interrogation.
The center documented cases spanning both territories under Israeli control. Occupation forces have continued what the organization described as deliberate targeting of Palestinian women, subjecting detainees to interrogation in the field and mistreatment during custody. The arrests underscore what the center characterized as an ongoing pattern of enforcement directed specifically at the female Palestinian population.
