The Palestinian Ministry of Social Development warned that approximately 300,000 families in Gaza face humanitarian catastrophe as weather systems approach and winter arrives, Shehab Wire reported. The families, displaced and sheltering in tents, confront a fourth consecutive winter without adequate protection amid acute shortages of resources.
The ministry's alert comes as seasonal rains and atmospheric depressions threaten the overcrowded tent settlements housing much of Gaza's displaced population. No immediate relief measures were detailed in the warning.
