Burqa village, east of Ramallah, now faces settlement encirclement from all four directions, Shehab Wire reported. Settlers have erected a new settlement tent in the Karam area, which lies within the village's territorial lands, extending Israeli outpost presence into a previously less-contested zone.
The new encampment represents a strategic expansion of settlement infrastructure around the Palestinian community. Residents expressed concern that the tent installation signals the beginning of a permanent settlement nucleus, following a pattern of incremental Israeli settlement growth that has progressively isolated the village from surrounding Palestinian territories and restricted movement and economic activity for local inhabitants.
