Tunisia's authorities continue holding four prominent activists from the Freedom Flotilla for six consecutive months, Shehab Wire reported. Nour Rami Saad, a spokesperson for the flotilla campaign, criticized the detention as a painful contradiction that undermines solidarity efforts with Gaza.
The detained activists had been part of the Steadfastness Fleet initiative, which organizes humanitarian missions in support of Palestinians. Their prolonged detention without resolution has drawn concern from flotilla organizers about the implications for ongoing advocacy work.
