The Palestinian Centre for Human Rights marked one year since the United States imposed sanctions on three individuals for cooperating with the International Criminal Court, alleging the move serves to shield Israel from accountability. The sanctions, imposed September 4, 2025, targeted those working with the ICC as the court pursued investigations into alleged Israeli crimes.
Rights organizations characterized the sanctions as deepening U.S. complicity in what they describe as genocide and other international crimes against Palestinians. The groups called for states to end what they termed arbitrary penalties designed to obstruct justice mechanisms investigating conduct in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
