The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has reduced its operations, Shehab Wire reported. Since the UN General Assembly established the agency through Resolution 302 in December 1949, UNRWA has provided food aid, education, and healthcare services to Palestinian refugees beyond its role as a humanitarian institution.
The reductions affect the agency's capacity to serve the refugee population it has supported for over seven decades.
