The United Nations reported Thursday that four of every five families sheltering across Gaza face critical or catastrophic hunger levels, IMEMC News said. The agency's assessment covered displaced Palestinians throughout the territory, where severe food insecurity has become widespread among those dependent on aid.
The UN also documented that 94 percent of Palestinians in Gaza require shelter assistance and basic household items. The finding reflects acute shortages in housing and essential goods across the population. Families in shelters face compounding challenges: inadequate food supplies coincide with lack of safe housing and fundamental necessities for daily survival.
