Benjamin Davis, a former official with the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), said he was penalized for highlighting hunger in Gaza and directing his team to prepare a technical study on food security there, Shehab Wire reported. Davis also participated in solidarity vigils related to the crisis.
The former official's account suggests institutional pressure within UN agencies over public statements on the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
