United Airlines resumes shipping F-35 and tank parts to Israel

United Airlines resumed carrying military hardware to Israel aboard its ordinary passenger flights on the evening of 9 September, scheduling five shipments on United Flight 90 from Newark to Tel Aviv after a six-month halt, The Intercept reported, in an investigation by reporter Noah Hurowitz.
The finding rests on a joint analysis by the Movement Research Unit, the Palestinian Youth Movement, People's Embargo for Palestine and the Democratic Socialists of America, who reviewed open-source cargo documents tracking 2,761 military shipments carried on 160 civilian passenger flights between 24 July 2025 and 27 February 2026. The Intercept said it examined the underlying data but had "not independently corroborated every claim."
Of 546 sampled shipments, researchers identified 28 tank-component shipments, 131 carrying F-35 fighter jet parts, 67 other aircraft components and more than 100 shipments of radio equipment and helmet displays. "There are ammunition handling systems and F-35 parts and tank sights that are being transported on these flights," one investigator said.
Most shipments moved on United's Newark-Tel Aviv routes, feeding Elbit Systems plants in Rehovot, Ramat Hasharon and Karmiel, Lockheed Martin's Israeli headquarters, Israel's defense ministry and military airbases. United declined to comment; Lockheed Martin, Elbit Systems and Israel's defense ministry did not respond to requests for comment.
