Yousef Jabareen, head of Israel's main Palestinian Arab coalition, said the bloc is prepared to join an opposition alliance to remove Benjamin Netanyahu from power following the elections, The Guardian reported. Jabareen's coalition won a record number of Knesset seats and now holds the balance of power in parliament.
Jabareen characterized the moment as a "historic" opportunity for Israel to shift direction. His statement comes as Netanyahu faces pressure to form a governing coalition amid the election results.
