Britain's Green Party passed a motion at its Brighton conference declaring Zionism a form of racism, Middle East Eye reported. The vote of 1,022 to 813 made the party officially anti-Zionist and committed it to backing a single democratic state in historic Palestine.
The motion establishes formal party policy opposing Zionism as an ideology rather than merely criticizing Israeli government actions or policies.
