Political detainee and released prisoner Baraa Assi has continued his hunger strike for a ninth consecutive day in protest against the extension of his detention by the Preventive Security Service in Jenin, Shehab Wire reported. Assi, held in the northern West Bank city, is refusing food over the decision to extend his confinement while in custody.
The detention extension is one of a pattern of Palestinian security force detentions without trial in the occupied territory.
