Khalil Al-Haya, head of Hamas's political bureau, telephoned the family of Palestinian ambassador to Egypt Diab Al-Louh to convey condolences following the diplomat's death after a prolonged illness, Shehab Wire reported. Al-Louh had served as the Palestinian diplomatic representative in Cairo, managing bilateral relations between the Palestinian Authority and the Egyptian government.
The ambassador's passing removes a veteran figure from Palestinian diplomatic channels at a time when Egypt continues to play a central role in regional mediation efforts and ceasefire negotiations. Al-Louh's tenure in Cairo positioned him as a key intermediary between Palestinian leadership and Egyptian officials overseeing some of the region's most sensitive political matters.
