Approximately 907 settlers raided the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem on Monday morning, according to the Jerusalem Islamic Waqf, Al Jazeera reported. The group entered the holy site under police escort.
The raid marks the latest in a series of incursions by Israeli settlers into the sensitive religious compound, which is sacred to both Muslims and Jews and sits atop the Temple Mount in the Old City.
