Israeli occupation authorities have moved 3,401 planned settlement units in the E1 project east of occupied Jerusalem into the implementation bidding process, Shehab Wire reported. The units, part of a large-scale colonial expansion scheme, have been redistributed as part of the move toward construction.
The E1 project is among the most contentious settlement initiatives, as it would effectively bisect the occupied West Bank and cut off Palestinian movement between the northern and southern areas.
