Israel's Central Elections Committee chairman Noam Sohlberg rejected allegations of foul play, stating that the election was conducted properly and its results reflect the will of voters, according to Haaretz. The statement came after former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed the vote had been "stolen."
Sohlberg said the committee stood behind the integrity of the balloting, despite Netanyahu's public challenge to the outcome.
