Shehab Wire reported that Abdel Qader Abu Saada survived alone from his family after an Israeli warplane struck his grandfather's four-story home in Gaza's Maghrebi area, where he was sheltering with dozens of relatives as a displaced person. More than 100 of Abu Saada's relatives were killed in the strike, many still trapped beneath the rubble.
Abu Saada was the sole survivor among his extended family members present in the house at the time of the attack.
