Haidar Abu Middain, 60, sifted through the remnants of what was once one of central Gaza's most productive olive groves, tossing aside desiccated branches from felled trees across barren ground. The site bore the marks of Israeli bulldozing operations that have stripped the landscape of its agricultural foundation.
Olive cultivation has long sustained Palestinian families across Gaza. Israeli restrictions have cut off access to remaining trees, forcing residents to salvage what little remains from the destroyed groves, according to Al-Monitor reporting.
