Israeli occupation forces raided Birzeit University north of Ramallah on Sunday with approximately ten military vehicles and a bulldozer, destroying the "Martyrs' Monument," the university said. The incursion caused damage to physics laboratories and other campus facilities, according to a university statement characterizing the operation as targeting the institution's national memory.
The raid was part of ongoing Israeli military operations in the West Bank. Birzeit, located in the Ramallah district, is the Palestinian territories' largest university and has faced repeated military incursions, Shehab Wire reported.
