Negev residents confront schemes designed to uproot them and replace their villages with settlements, according to Maan Wire. An official assessment characterizes the threat to Bedouin communities as systematic displacement backed by infrastructure plans that would transform Palestinian-populated areas into settlement zones.
The warning reflects broader concerns among Palestinian leaders about development policies in the Negev region, where demographic and territorial shifts have long been contested.
