Three Palestinian homes on a hilltop near Nablus have endured a seven-month siege by Israeli settlers, yet the families occupying them remain determined to stay, Mondoweiss reported. The residents face complete isolation from the outside world as settlers maintain their blockade of the area known as Ras al-Ain, cutting off access to supplies and services.
A village leader underscored the significance of holding the land. "We will lose ourselves if we lose Ras al-Ain," he told Mondoweiss, capturing the families' view that departure would amount to erasure of their presence and claim to the territory. The families' refusal to abandon their homes reflects broader Palestinian resistance to displacement from land claimed by settlers in the occupied West Bank.
