Senegal arrested a pro-Palestine activist for protesting Israeli participation in the Youth Olympic Games, Middle East Eye reported. A civil society group member said the activist's TikTok video was misconstrued as a call for violence.
The arrest drew criticism from those who said the authorities misinterpreted the activist's online content, which focused on opposing Israel's involvement in the sporting event rather than inciting harm.
